Ingredients

  • 2 cans red tart Cherries with juice
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 2½ cups oats
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

Directions

1.Combine sugar and cornstarch in saucepan.

2.Add undrained cherries.

3.Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Set aside.

4.Mix oats, flour, baking soda, and brown sugar until crumbly.

5.Place half of crumb mixture into 9” x 9” baking pan.

6.Pour cooked cherry mixture over crumbs.

7.Top with other half of crumbs.

8.Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes until lightly browned.
