1. Se ponen los garbanzos de remojo la noche anterior para que se ablanden.

1. Soak the chickpeas overnight to soften.

2. Se hace una fritura, en un caldero, con la cebolla, el tomate y un poco de perejil; se le añaden los garbanzos y las carnes, se cubre con abundante agua y se deja cocinar durante una hora sin destapar

2. Fry in a pot the onion, add the tomato and a little parsley, add the chickpeas and the meat, cover with water and cook for an hour without uncovering.

3. Después, y sin apartar del fuego, introducimos las habichuelas, los calabacines, la col, los puerros, la piña y las zanahorias, todo cortado en grandes trozos.

3. Now add the beans, zucchini, cabbage, leeks, pineapples and carrots, all cut into large chunks.

4. When the vegetables are almost cooked add the potatoes, sweet potatoes and pumpkin, that has been cut into large pieces and cook.

5. When everything is cooked remove from heat, and strain.

Con el caldo podemos hacer una sopa y la verdura se toma rociada con unos ajos fritos.

Serve the strained stock first as a vegetable soup sprinkled with fried garlic.
