Directions
Wash thoroughly three cups of dried apples, and soak over night. Drain ofi" the water through a seive, cliop them slightly, then simmer two hours in three cup of molasses, then add two eggs, one cup of sugar, one cup of sweet milk or watei*, three quarters of a cup of butter, one-half teasi^oon- ful of soda, flour to make quite a stiff batter, cinnamon, clove and other spices to suit the taste.
