Cut corn from the cob until you have at least 1 pint (or use Out of corn season 1 pint canned corn). Cover it with a quart of milk, let simmer 20 minutes and add 1 fresh egg well beaten, good piece of butter and salt and pepper to taste. Serve with croutons.
