One cup of molasses, one teaspoonful of soda dissolved in half a teacupful of boiling water, add one part of corn meal and three parts of Graham flour to make a stiff batter, melt one spoonful of lard and add. Pour the mixture into a well- greased pan, and steam four hours. It is nice eaten hot.
