Directions
Take half a bushel green tomatoes (being frosted is no dis- advantage) ; wash, and slice them thin, with one dozen onions, a few blades of garlic, and half a dozen green pepper pods ; sprinkle them in layers with salt, and let them stand all night; next morning rinse and drain well; then mix well together one ounce pulverized ginger, one ounce allspice, one ounce mace, one ounce celery seed, one ounce mised mustard.
