Directions
One quart milk, two cups sugar, three eggs; make soft custard and let cool. Put in two tablespoons vanilla and little salt, one- half pound of candied fruit and chop fine, add four tablespoons of Jamaica rum and let stand three or four hours. Add a pint of cream to custard and freeze. When partly frozen add fruit and freeze until hard. Mrs. I. B. Sherman.
