Directions

} cup butter, J cup sugar, yolks of 2 eggs, 1 tablespoon orange juice, and the grated peel of 1 orange, 1 scant cup flour, 1 tea- spoon baking pow'der.

Chill the ingredients, mix well, roll very thin, put a piece of candied orange peel on the top of each wafer, and bake in a quick oven.

1 heaping tablespoon butter. 1 cup molasses, 1 cup sugar, 1 teasroon cinnamon, 4 cups flour. 1 cup sour milk, 2 teaspoons soda, 1 teasfoon fri'T^er.

Bake in shallow pans and serve hot. Dissolve the soda in hot water, but, if sweet milk is used, take baking powder instead.
