Directions
Eight cups of water, four cups of sugar. Boil and cool. Add to this six oranges, three lemons, one pineapple shred- ded, one box strawberries, two grape fruit, two quarts Apoli- naris water. Can be diluted to suit taste.
In making candy I always use granulated sugar unless other is specified. Candy must never be stirred when boil- ing. Cream of tartar should be added after syrup begins to boil. Butter should be put in when candy is almost done. Flavors are more delicate when not boiled in candy.
