Cook a quart of oysters in their own liquor until plump or swelled ; skim out the oysters, add to the liquor one-half cupful of good cider vinegar ; when it boils up skim it and add eight whole pepper corns, eight allspice berries, eight cloves, a pinch of cayenne pepper and a teaspoonful of salt. Boil six minutes; pour over the oysters, and when cool seal up in glass jars. Keep in a cool dark place. They will keep a couple of weeks. Mrs. Geo. C. Ginty.
