Directions
Two cupfuls sweet milk, one crustless slice of bread and butter one-half inch thick, three eggs, saving one white for the meringue. Sweeten to taste. One-fourth cupful seedless rais- ins, rinse and put in saucepan with enough water to cover. Boil five to ten minutes, cut raisins in halves ; season with va- nilla, nutmeg and cinnamon. Put butter the size of a walnut on top — small pieces. Bake, cover with a meringue, and brown in oven slightly.
