Directions
One gallon of fresh berries, washed and picked ; pour over them a half gallon of good cider vinegar; let stand twenty-lour hours ; then strain. To each pint of juice add three fourths of a pound of sugar ; boil half an hour, and skim carefully. When cold, bottle, and cork lightly. When used, pour the depth of an inch in the glass ; fill with water, pounded ice, and season with nutmeg. This is a temperance drink. — Mrs. E. McCamey.
