Rub 2 pounds granulated sugar and 2 pounds flour well togeth- er; then rub in ly^ pounds butter; wet the whole with '" eggs well beaten; form into a loaf and let stand in a cool place over night to harden ; roll very thin ; cut out and wash the top of (nich cake with )nilk and the yolk of an egrt^ mixed together; sprinkle with sugar find cinnamon and chopped almonds or peanuts.
