Directions
3 cups brown sugar. 14 cup butter.
Bake in good pastry.
PUMPKIN PIE. To every cup of steamed and strained pumpkin add one tablespoon butter, one-half cup milk, yolk one egg, one-half cup sugar, pinch salt and a little nutmeg and cinnamon. Use whites for meringue if desired.
MINCEMEAT.
3 lbs. lean beef boiled and 3 lbs. hght brown sugar.

1 pk. winesap apples peeled taste, and chopped fine.
