Ingredients
- 2 bags black tea
- 2 bags oolong tea
- 2 bags yerba mate
- 1.2 litres (5 cups) just-boiled water
- 2 tbsp sugar or maple syrup (optional)
- 2 tbsp milk or fruit juice (optional)
- ½ cup ice (optional)
Directions
Place tea bags in French press or coffee pot. Make sure to keep the strings taut to prevent the paper weights from falling in.
Pour the hot water into French press. Place lid on top, with a tight grip on the paper weights.
Let the tea steep for 5 minutes.
If using a French press, slowly push the plunger onto the bags, again with a tight grip on the paper weights.
Take off the lid, scoop the teabags out, and gently squeeze the brew from the bags before disposing of them.
Add sweetener and stir thoroughly.
Let tea cool to room temperature. Serve over ice, or place open pot in freezer for 70 minutes for quicker cooling. Stir in milk or citrus juice before serving.
